I was fortunate enough to be in the Marcus Band from 2012 to 2016. I have also been in the 2019 Concord Blue Devils and had the summer of a life time. Currently I am pursuing my degree in Music Education at Texas Tech University. I can’t wait to work with you!
The following will cover Legacy Music Studio, LLC policies:
Tuition is paid September through May. Tuition is calculated with 31 weeks of instruction over a nine month period. The semester fee per student is rolled into the monthly tuition. This fee helps cover the costs of the Christmas recital, Spring recital, insurance, copies/supplies, weekly reward incentives, etc. Some months students may have five lessons and other months they may have two, but the tuition will even out over the course of nine months. Committing to lessons means you’re committing to the entire school year. However, students may start lessons at any time.
Tuition is due the first lesson of each month. If tuition is not paid on time, a $20 late fee will be assessed. If tuition is not paid by the second lesson of the month, lessons will be discontinued until tuition for that month is paid in full.
Please make checks payable to Legacy Music Studio, LLC or the individual teacher. Or you can pay via Paypal “friends and family”. Contact me for instructions on how to do this.
Lessons missed due to illness, weather, or family emergency may be made up during the designated make-up week at the end of the semester. This must be communicated before the missed lesson. A “no show” will not be made up. This policy is in place to help encourage consistent attendance and consistent progress in the student. Thank you for your cooperation in this.
Preparation for Lessons
Students are expected to come to their lesson prepared. As a general rule, most students should practice 4-5 times a week for 20-30 minutes. Beginner students will practice less at first. If a student comes to the lesson unprepared then we will have them use their lesson time for practice and re-teaching. Keep in mind that practicing is going over a song multiple (3X-5X) a day and reworking the more difficult parts. Running through a song from start to finish once is NOT practicing.
Visitors to Lessons
In the past, we have allowed parents and siblings to sit in on a student’s lesson time. Unfortunately, this has proven to be more of a distraction than a help. Therefore, no visitors are allowed to stay in the teaching area during the lesson time. If you want to sit in our waiting area from time to time, then that is fine.
