Rachel Moreno began playing the violin at the age of three under the guidance and encouragement of her parents Richard and Fleur Miller. She was trained in the Suzuki Method and excelled to the point of being able to solo with the Denver Symphony Chamber Orchestra at the age of ten. In her teen years, she participated in the Front Range Youth Symphony and also began exploring writing and improvisation when she played the violin in a rock band with her high school friends. It was around this same time that she discovered she had perfect pitch and began playing on worship teams at church. After High School Rachel attended Christ for the Nations Institute (1998-2001) in Dallas where she traveled with worship teams and received her Diploma in Practical Theology and Leadership Certificate in Worship and the Arts. It was here that she also met her future husband, Ben. Rachel continued her education at TCU from 2001-2005 where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance while also marrying her best friend, Ben Moreno, in 2004. Rachel began teaching private violin lessons while finishing up her degree and after graduation also taught music and movement classes for children, which made use of her Ballet and Modern dance training from the Arvada Center for the Performing Arts in Denver and then TCU. As Ben and Rachel began their family Ben was the Worship Leader at Valley Creek Church in Flower Mound, Tx. Rachel also worked at Valley Creek in the Worship Department where she believes her best contribution was helping to lay the foundation for the heart of worship. In 2017 Rachel began teaching music at Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound. She taught all grades from second to twelfth and helped build the program by teaching general music, music theory, music history, String, Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra, Ukulele, and Choir. After seven years at Founders, she decided to narrow her focus and build her private music studio (2024). With over 20 years of experience teaching and leading, she finds joy in helping others reach their full potential as musicians while encouraging them to become who God has created them to be.
